More About Registering
You may have received a postcard or email from C2C with a personalized link. If you have a postcard or email, use your link. No postcard? No worries, anyone can see if they qualify and register! To begin the process Start your Registration Here »
You will begin by providing basic contact information, specifics about the colleges you’ve attended, and your desired degree. It is important to include every college you have attended (don’t leave any out) and the credits earned at each. It’s okay to estimate if you don’t know exactly. Being accurate will help you receive better information about how close you could be to a degree.
Next, you will be provided access to a C2C call center representative who will welcome you and help you complete the registration process. Start your Registration Here »

To finish your registration, simply complete your C2C Welcome Call. We make it easy. After completing Step 1, you will be able to schedule to have the call within 5-10 minutes or later at a time that is more convenient.
More About Your C2C Welcome Call
Immediately after submitting your registration information online, you will be prompted to schedule a Welcome Call with a C2C call center representative.
During your Welcome Call you’ll receive additional details on the program, get to ask questions, and prepare for your next step.
Your C2C Welcome Call will take 15 - 30 minutes. Here is what to expect:
- Get your program questions answered and learn more about qualifying for the C2C Grant.
- Provide any additional information needed to complete registration.
- Determine what you’ll need to prepare to meet with your C2C Coach at the college. (Your coach will help you apply your credits and find the shortest path to a degree!)
After this call, you’ll receive an email that documents everything you need to do to connect with your coach. You’ll most likely need to complete an admissions application for your college and possibly request some transcripts.
If you miss the call you scheduled with the C2C representative, you will need to call 1-866-793-6281 to complete your registration.
IMPORTANT: If you do not complete your welcome call within seven (7) days of submitting your information online, your C2C registration will be deactivated.

After completing your welcome call and registration, you'll be assigned a C2C coach at the college you will attend. They will help you meet YOUR education goals and finish your degree.
More About Connecting with Your Coach
Once registered, you will receive an email with a message from your coach. Look for that email and follow the “to do” steps they provide for you. Here are some tasks you may need to complete:
- Be re-admitted or admitted to the college
- Request transcripts to be sent to your coach
- Schedule a meeting with your C2C Coach (either in person or using phone/video conference)
Your coach will have you start on some of the paperwork that you need to complete for your return. For instance, you will complete the simple application for re-admission or admission (if you are a new transfer student) to the college.
Your coach will also need transcripts from each college you attended. If the college you are returning to is not the college you attended, you will need to have your transcripts sent to your coach. However, if you’re returning to the last college you attended, your coach should have access to the information they need for your degree plan.
In some cases, your coach may connect you with others at the college as needed. For instance, you may benefit from talking with:
- A financial advisor regarding available aid beyond the C2C Grant
- A faculty advisor who can provide more information about completing your specific degree plan
Your C2C Coach is your best friend when it comes to going back to college, so get to know them well! You can find out more about the support coaches provide here.

Your C2C Coach will work with you to explore options and bring together your degree plan. You’ll help by providing complete transcripts and sharing your goals and priorities.
More About Your Degree Plan
Your degree plan is the list of classes and requirements you will need for the degree you select. Before your coach can help you create this plan, they will:
- Look at the college credits that you’ve already earned
- Ask about your college goals, career plans, and priorities
The coach will review your transcripts and share options with you during the meeting you scheduled (in person or virtually). You may have a few different “paths” to choose from depending on your goals. Here you may benefit from the insights of a faculty advisor. In these cases your C2C Coach will coordinate this referral.
During this process it's important to respond to emails or calls from your coach within 2 days. This will keep your degree plan moving along.
C2C helps you access any financial aid that is available to you. This includes the C2C Grant as well as state and federal assistance.
More About the C2C Grant
The C2C Grant is reserved only for qualifying students returning through the C2C program and provides up to $1,000 each term. You can qualify for the grant by completing the online C2C Grant Application. Your C2C Coach will initiate it for you and assist as needed.
First-time applicants will also complete state and federal aid applications. Completing these applications ensures that any other available aid is identified.
Once approved, the $1,000 award is renewable, which means you can benefit each qualifying term. Your coach will initiate the online grant renewal application each term and will be there to help you complete the simple form.
Most C2C returning students will qualify for the C2C Grant. Household income, parental status (having a custodial or non-custodial child), and other factors are considered to ensure equitable access to college.
You can learn more about the C2C Grant application process from your C2C Coach and on the Grant Details page of this website.

Once your degree plan is in place, you're ready to sign up for your classes! With the help of your C2C Coach (or your academic advisor), you will select and enroll in the class(es) you need.
More About Enrollment
Depending on your degree selected, you may need only a few classes, or you may need several. Most find that they are closer than they thought to their degree.
Others are amazed to discover degree options that qualify them for a degree based on the credits they have already earned!

As you continue through your classes each term, you will have at least two “check ins” with your C2C Coach to help ensure your successful transition back to college. One check-in will occur a few weeks into the term and one will occur later in the semester.
More About Coach Check-Ins
The coach check-in may be an email or call from your coach. Your C2C Coach check-ins can help in many ways:
- Preparing for your next term (or graduation).
- Initiating your renewal application for the C2C Grant.
- Adjusting your degree plan as needed (going more quickly or slowly on classes).
- Connecting you with other resources to help you succeed.
- Helping you transition between a community college and university (if needed).
If you have any concerns about your degree plan or need ideas for how to thrive while completing your degree, your C2C Coach is there to assist.
Be sure to keep in touch and respond to messages from your coach within 2 business days.

Whether you need just one class or several terms to finish your degree, your final step will be completing your degree application. Your coach will help you with this last step before you’re DONE!
More About Graduation and Being a Graduate
In your last term your coach can help you finish up your simple degree application. When you complete this last step the college will do a final degree audit of your combined credits to make sure you have everything needed for your degree.
After the degree audit you may feel an overwhelming sense of relief. Or, for you, the excitement might not sink in until you don a cap and gown in your college’s graduation ceremony.
Yes, you will have the option to walk across the stage and celebrate your achievement with family, friends, and cohorts. You may not realize it but your determination and accomplishment also inspire those around you!
But wait, wait…there’s more. The support you received doesn’t end with graduation. As a degreed alumni you will have access to post-graduate benefits and resources provided by your institution. You will also continue receiving the C2C Competitive Advantage email newsletter with insights, resources and inspiring stories.
Since you’ll be a C2C Grad, we will also look to you for insights. Each year we’ll reach out to understand how your college experiences and degree may have contributed to your personal and career achievements. This will allow us to continue improving the C2C program while also celebrating your accomplishments!
